Can you believe what is going on right now? WOW things sure are changing. I took this picture over the fourth of July. We were heading up to Boise and stopped to fill up. I died at the gas prices. For sure I thought we would hit the $5/gallon mark. Now less then 6 months later some places are at $1.20/gallon. I hope friends and family are doing well through these tough times.

Halloween
The weekend was great! Sophia was able to go trick or treating twice. The sitter took her to the mall to trick and treat and then Luke and I took her in the evening. She LOVED it!! I am sure she ate enough candy for the year. She looked adorable in her flower costume. On Sat Luke and I went to the Jazz game. It was nice to go out on a "date" Thanks to Jill for babysitting and coming home to a sleeping baby and a clean house.

Lately Sophia has been gaining more of a girly girl personality. She has started to love to play dress up. It all started when I bought her a winter coat. It has the fake fur around the hood. She just laughs and laughs when she is wearing it. Now we have moved on to the hat of her Halloween costume. She will wear it and run around the house, also the same applies to her tutu. I know the pictures are blurry but try taking a picture of a hyper 1 year old with your camera phone :)
Petting Zoo
On Sat we went to the petting zoo at Garder Village. Sophia LOVED it. The whole time she kept walking around saying "Oooooo" I was surprised how melow the animals are. Kids were just pulling on their fur (at least Sophia was) and they would just lay there. Poor animals everyday they are subjsct to tiny fingers grabbing at them.

Tag your it!
So I was tagged to blog about the fourth picture on my computer. Which is funny because I was just talking to my brother about this picture today at dinner.
This picture is of my brother Shane and Sophia. She is probably 9 weeks old. Shane lives just a couple streets away from us and we hang out with him frequently. He is a great uncle to Sophia and was one of the first people up at the hospital to meet her. Sophia adores Shane, and even more so after he told her that she should be nice to him because he is the uncle that will let her break all our rules.
The funny thing is that early today I was telling Shane about how I have only one picture of him with Sophia and to be honest I do not think it is that great of a picture. Which makes me wonder on how many people are tagged and REALLY put up the picture they are suppose to, or lie because they do not look the best in that picture?
Anyways sorry Shane that this pic is on the Internet, but for what it is worth you are the best uncle. I can see it in Sophia every time she reaches out to you wanting you to hold her.

personality
I have taken these pictures all within a couple of weeks with my phone. I love all of them because they capture all of Sophia's personality. We have the fake laugh, the really what the hell look, so sweet, and then just her true self-really happy! I know I should pull out a real camera, but the cell phone is more convenient and seems to get the most candid pics.

Sophia's 1 year pic
I can't believe that Sophia is one already. I tried to cover up her accidental bangs with a bow, but I think its a little off center. For our birthday (we share the same birthday) we went to the park with family. Ate good food and cake. Later that night I watched Sex and the City the movie. Luke tried to watch it with me but only lasted an hour, just in time to miss this sexy shower scene-oh la la!

Pass Out
Zoo
Last Sunday we went to the Hogle Zoo. It was a first for Sophia and Luke. Sophia LOVED all the anilmals and was dying to try to touch them. Luke had a great time as well, playing in the Kids Discovery Land pretending he was a golpher. We also were able to see the albino alligator. It was HUGE! We were lucky to see it come up out of the water and walk on land, it felt like we were in prehistoric times. It would move around as if it was in slow motion. We all had a great time and I am sure we will be going back many times.

Did you move that?
The other night after Sophia was asleep, I started cleaning up the toys, etc. I noticed our chair that is normaly over by the T.V was now by our computer. I asked Luke if he moved it, and he said I did earlier that night. Now I know sometimes I do things and forget, but I was pretty sure I did not move the chair. This morning I was peeking out through the kitchen and I noticed a STRONG little body slidding the chair across the floor. To my relief that I am not crazy, I grabbed my phone and got my proof. My little mover looked up at me with a big smile as if to say "I finally did it, the chair looks ALOT better over here"

pictures of Sophia
24th of July
On the 24th of July Sophia had pink eye, we were house bound. Luke decieded to use that time to put in a new walk way from our house to garage. He is amazing and worked hard ALL day. Not only is he digging out our shelf basement, but he works outside as well. Sophia and I did a great job cheering him on from the shade :) The weekend was nice and I enjoyed the time off to hang out with family and friends.

LUVS
So I am testing out some differant diapers. I have always used Huggies and I am happy with them. Lately the Huggies have started to get to tight aroung Sophia's belly. My friend uses Luvs and gave me a couple to try. I put Sophia in one over night (the true test) and they worked great. I will have to admit they are diferant then Huggies but seem to stretch out great. Plus they are $10 cheaper for the big box then Huggies or Pampers. Thought I would share the news for anyone who wants to try a change and save some money. LUVS worked great for us.

Boise
Over the fourth we went up to Bosie to visit some great friends, Katie & Cam. There little girl, Lucy loved giving Sophia kisses. A couple of friends came up with us. We went to the park to see fireworks, went up the canyon to a little pond with a beach and just hung around. I love Boise. It has a great feeling to it. Everyone is so nice to everyone, and everyone talks to EVERYONE. I think if we were to move that is were I would want to end up.
Lucy and Sophia BFF!!

new at this
Alright I have no idea what i am doing - please be patient
So I met a sexy man a couple of years ago (Luke) and we were married in May 2004. We live in a cute little house located in sugar house. I love where we live. I can walk anywhere!! Which can be a bad thing because I find myself wandering into almost every store. Last Septemeber we had our beautiful, ACTIVE, happy baby girl Sophia Ruby. She actually was born on my birthday. Yea Libras :) That should bring you up to speed
