more pics of Jackson

Jackson Hole

Yea for vacations and weddings! On Aug 8th my brother Shane got married up in beautiful Jackson Hole. It was so beautiful in Teton National Park, it fit Shane and Robyn to a T. My family all stayed in a great 4 bedroom condo up in Teton Village. The kids loved playing with each and staying up late. The wedding was held in the morning. The girls made great flower girls, while Michael did an outstanding job being the ring barier. Later that night we got a babysitter for the kids-sidenote turned out we had no idea who the babysitter was, but did a great job!- and went to the Snake River Grill (delicious-best part was the HUGE onion rings which looked like donuts) Once dinner was over we all walked to the famous cowboy bar. Probably the last time my whole family will be in a bar together :)

I am excited for Shane and Robyn they make a great couple. They are both so in love with each other. I am glad to have Robyn join our crazy family

Shoes

my little sweetheart. I love her to death. I especially love that fact that she has to wear shoes to bed. At first it was just sneakers, but now we have moved on to black patten leather mary janes. Bought her some slippers, which lastest a day, back to the mary janes!

Just random pictures

Gymnastics

Sophia started a little gymnastics class at Fairmont park last night. She was the youngest one there, but did not look it by all means. At first she only wanted to sit on the mat and watch all the other kids wiggle their toes, jump up and down etc. After about 10min she was ready for the tumbling. A couple of times she did get distracted by the swimming pool and yell AQUA, or go and sit by the little girl who cried the whole time. My little sweetheart with the tender heart, so caring. I hope she never looses that quality.

I think she had a great time. Later that night Luke (who by the way is sure Sophia is going to be a natural) and I looked at pictures we took. When we zoomed in on Sophia's face in all of them she had a little smile.

Can't wait for net week. Hopefully with this class her flips off the couch will at least be done with alittle more grace and less accidents :)

Vacation

Well the last picture you saw was in Mexico at an amazing all inclusive resort-just beautiful!

I wish I had more pictures of it to post-however we decided to go to good old St. George Utah instead. Due to the swine flu our trips was canceled. Maybe another day.

St. George was great. Luke and I took Sophia's along as well. I think Luke read a couple of book and really relax. I on the other hand ran after Sophia. I think when you go on vacation with children its not really a vacation. No naps bedtime around 10pm, and trying to fill the day with activities. We went to the pool, park lots of walk and a jumping house called Kangaroo Jacks. I have to admit I had a great time. After 45 min of jumping around I was exhausted but little Sophia was still full of energy!

By The Way

This is where I will be in 12 weeks!

FOREVER

I know its been forever. I am a person who likes to blog about pictures. So I have decieded to blog about a couple of phots that are on my phone.

First the big purchase. We finally bought a sectional. I have always wanted one and found a great deal on KSL. I highly recommend buying off KSL. Our new (well new us) couch is super cozy, and Luke can loung out and watch sports while Sophia and I still have plenty of room doing our own thing as well.

In this picture you will also notice Sophia TRYING to play with our cats. Ever since my brother got a dog, Sophia has been confused to why our cat will not play tug-a-war, eat the treats shoved in his mouth, or why he does not get all hyper when Sophia runs around on all fours and barks like a dog ( Thanks Shane, for teaching Sophia new tricks)

My next picture is of Sophia (of course) swinging. We live right next to fairmont park. I try to walk up there when ever the weather is nice. Sophia is defiantly our little dare devil.

I love where we live. I could see us staying in our little house for some time. We are close to everything. I am already getting Spring Fever looking forward to walking everywhere.

My last picture is another of Sophia. I like to call her my "spirited" child. She loves to be on the go. Luke's dad made the comment "does she ever sit down to eat"

The answer is no. We always have to be on the go. This morning Sophia thought it would be a good idea to move her breakfast to her chair instead of table. I guess this way she was closer to her Shadow that she was playing with all morning!

WOW!!

Can you believe what is going on right now? WOW things sure are changing. I took this picture over the fourth of July. We were heading up to Boise and stopped to fill up. I died at the gas prices. For sure I thought we would hit the $5/gallon mark. Now less then 6 months later some places are at $1.20/gallon. I hope friends and family are doing well through these tough times.

Climber

Sophia has found a new love, climbing. It does not matter what it is, she will climb it. Not only are we climing thing we have figured out that everything moves and we can climb on one thing to reach up to the next

Halloween

The weekend was great! Sophia was able to go trick or treating twice. The sitter took her to the mall to trick and treat and then Luke and I took her in the evening. She LOVED it!! I am sure she ate enough candy for the year. She looked adorable in her flower costume. On Sat Luke and I went to the Jazz game. It was nice to go out on a "date" Thanks to Jill for babysitting and coming home to a sleeping baby and a clean house.

Lately Sophia has been gaining more of a girly girl personality. She has started to love to play dress up. It all started when I bought her a winter coat. It has the fake fur around the hood. She just laughs and laughs when she is wearing it. Now we have moved on to the hat of her Halloween costume. She will wear it and run around the house, also the same applies to her tutu. I know the pictures are blurry but try taking a picture of a hyper 1 year old with your camera phone :)

Petting Zoo

On Sat we went to the petting zoo at Garder Village. Sophia LOVED it. The whole time she kept walking around saying "Oooooo" I was surprised how melow the animals are. Kids were just pulling on their fur (at least Sophia was) and they would just lay there. Poor animals everyday they are subjsct to tiny fingers grabbing at them.

Tag your it!

So I was tagged to blog about the fourth picture on my computer. Which is funny because I was just talking to my brother about this picture today at dinner.
This picture is of my brother Shane and Sophia. She is probably 9 weeks old. Shane lives just a couple streets away from us and we hang out with him frequently. He is a great uncle to Sophia and was one of the first people up at the hospital to meet her. Sophia adores Shane, and even more so after he told her that she should be nice to him because he is the uncle that will let her break all our rules.
The funny thing is that early today I was telling Shane about how I have only one picture of him with Sophia and to be honest I do not think it is that great of a picture. Which makes me wonder on how many people are tagged and REALLY put up the picture they are suppose to, or lie because they do not look the best in that picture?
Anyways sorry Shane that this pic is on the Internet, but for what it is worth you are the best uncle. I can see it in Sophia every time she reaches out to you wanting you to hold her.

Birthday pictures

Here are some pictures

The birthday princesses!
Swinging! Don't you
just love the crown.

personality

I have taken these pictures all within a couple of weeks with my phone. I love all of them because they capture all of Sophia's personality. We have the fake laugh, the really what the hell look, so sweet, and then just her true self-really happy! I know I should pull out a real camera, but the cell phone is more convenient and seems to get the most candid pics.
